About Us

Built during the very beginning of São Paulo's north shore occupation, in a time when it was for adventures only, our houses are rustic and privilege the contact with nature and the simplicity of the good things in life, such as a glass of wine in the evening, listening the rain dropping in the leafs, while a fish bakes in the oven...

Our history tells a story of love. Two, actually. A love story between a couple and the love story of this couple towards a place. Luiz and Nupa got to know each other in London, 1969. She was an au pair girl from Finland and he was a Brazilian student. She used to dream to live in a warm place with coconut trees and he lived in a warm place with cocunut trees. She came to live in Brazil in 1970 and he took her to Barra do Sahy, by that time, a fisherman's village with a very difficult access, only travel off road driving on the beaches.

There they set their roots and raised their kids in a time when the beach houses were harmonic with the local environment

The houses, now. We have ten small houses and even with all the transformations occurred in São Paulo's coast, the Casas do Sahy like to keep it's way of being. All the houses are taken care of as if it was for our personal use, which actually happens when they are available, so we can tell what needs to be repaired, what's missing in the kitchen... We like who enjoys to "play house" and we make sure we play along!
